This little blog post is all about our new summer activities, to get you and the family outdoors on some amazing experiences after the of stress lockdown.
What activities are on offer?
We have a fantastic range of activities for you to experience, stand up paddle boarding, rock climbing, abseiling, gorge walking, archery, axe throwing, wild swimming and bushcraft. There are activities like gorge walking and climbing that can get the heart beating, and provide a real adrenaline experience, whereas activities such as wild swimming and stand up paddleboarding are much more about creating an immersive outdoor experiences for the family.
Where are the activities taking place?
The majority of our activities take place in Teesdale, in The Durham Dales near Barnard Castle. However we are also within an hour drive of Durham City, Newcastle, Sunderland, Darlington, York, Yorkshire Dales, The Lake District. Teesdale is a beautiful place for outdoor activities, we SUP on the river Tees and climb on the volcanic outcrops scattered around the ancient hills.
How long are the activities?
Most of the activities are half day session, starting usually at 10am or 1pm some of the sessions are longer than others, the wild swimming session is 4 hours long where as the archery is just under 2 hours.
Are the activities safe?
Safety is a top priority, we only use experienced, qualified instructors to run our session, we also ensure we have modern and well maintained equipment, thorough risk assessment and regular inspections from our license authority.
Who are the activities for?
The activites are ideally suited for a wide range of groups, from families, couples, clubs and individuals. We can work with children as young as 6 and you can never be too old for an adventure.
